I own an Altroz petrol, which is 5.7 years old. I bought this car for safety and because it is an Indian brand. It has run 25,500 km. As I am 6 feet tall and in my late 30s, I feel some discomfort getting in and out of the car. The clutch is heavy and the gearbox is tight. Should I consider changing my car? If yes, my budget is ₹15 lakh, with 50-50 usage on highways and city. My priorities are safety, comfort, mileage, and maintenance, though I occasionally drive long distances or spend long hours in the city.

An automatic compact SUV would resolve the ingress/egress issue and the heavy clutch problem. If you prefer to stick to a manual, that is also fine. The Kia Syros is a well-rounded option with a comfortable seat height, refined engines, and a manual gearbox that is easy to operate in city traffic.
Its cabin is spacious, so you won’t feel like you’re stepping down from the Tata Altroz. The Petrol HTX DCT fits within your budget, while the manual HTX is slightly cheaper. It is also rated 5-star in BNCAP safety tests.
