I want to change my car. I primarily drive within the city, dropping kids off at school or running short errands. Have driven around 76k km in the current car in 12+ years. Usage may slightly increase as I may do a 500km+/- trip every month. So that's like 6k km more per year. So, all around 10k to 12k km per year will be my usage, of which half or more will be city. Which car should I buy? I am more inclined towards foreign brands with good safety ratings. Open to suggestions. Should I also look at used cars?

Without knowing your budget, it is difficult to recommend a specific car. Based on your usage, which is primarily city driving with occasional longer trips, annual mileage of 10,000 to 12,000 km, and a preference for foreign brands with good safety ratings, you can consider both new and used cars. Used cars from reputable foreign brands can be a good option if you want a premium feel within a reasonable budget.
