I am torn between a used Honda Amaze at around ₹7 lakh and a new Amaze ZX CVT. Which should I choose? The Honda Amaze ZX CVT is a good option for your wife. It is a spacious and comfortable car with a smooth CVT gearbox. The ZX variant is well equipped too, with features like a sunroof, a touchscreen infotainment system, and a rear parking camera.The Amaze is also a safe car, with a 5-star Bharat NCAP crash test rating. The only downside is that the 1.2-litre petrol engine is not very powerful, and the CVT gearbox can be a bit slow to respond when you need a quick burst of acceleration.If you are looking at a used car, the Amaze is a good option. However, we would recommend you buy a new car, as the price difference is not very large, and you will get the peace of mind of a new car warranty.

Please suggest suitable options. Given your requirements, the Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger are worth a look. There's plenty of space for rear seat passengers, and there is enough room for three passengers to sit in the back in reasonable comfort. You could also consider the superbly packaged Renault Triber. It's three rows of seats give lots of flexibility in seating, and the option to slide the middle row also means you can open up lots of legroom by moving the seat to its rearward position.

The government’s scrap discount applies only to new car purchases, so it cannot be availed when buying a used car. Considering your weekly travel of 300-450 km for your real estate business, it’s best to choose the newest option you can find within your budget.

Being a Maruti, expect similar after-sales support as your current vehicle. If you want something that gives you the diesel-like punch and you don't mind sacrificing fuel efficiency, then you can consider the Mahindra XUV 3XO 1.2 Turbo (MPFI). While the XUV is reasonably spacious, its boot is on the smaller side.
