Asked by: Sumit Hi team, I am currently driving a Honda WR-V diesel and am planning to buy a new car. I am confused between the new Hyundai Venue Diesel automatic and the new Kia Seltos Diesel automatic, and I am looking for the better value for money in terms of fuel economy and maintenance since the Venue top-end price is similar to the Seltos mid-range - please guide. New Kia Seltos prices are to be announced on 2nd January 2026. We will have to wait for the prices to be out to compare the two. Kia and Hyundai have similar maintenance structures, though Hyundai has many more service centres, adding to the ease of getting your car serviced; their cost structures are similar. Seltos will offer more space in the cabin, and considering that both cars give roughly the same mileage, the mid variants tend to have all the necessary features. We suggest you wait for the Seltos prices to be out to make up your mind.

Asked by: Sultan Hi experts, I’m planning to purchase my first car with an automatic transmission within a budget of ₹15 to ₹17 lakh for 60% city driving and 40% in hilly areas. I’m confused whether the Honda Elevate with its NA engine and CVT transmission will have enough power to perform well with a full load of 5 adults and luggage in hilly terrain, or if there is another suitable car that fulfils my needs - please advise. Honda Elevate gets a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, which churns out 121hp power and 145Nm torque, which is sufficient power for your everyday use. Naturally aspirated engines deliver power in a smooth, linear manner and lack the sudden surge experienced in turbocharged units, and that is often mistaken for a lack of performance when compared to turbos. Power won’t be an issue; the real drawback is at the rear, where the central passenger has to contend with a prominent floor hump and a protruding AC vent, both of which eat into legroom and make long journeys uncomfortable. If travelling with 5 is your priority, we recommend you go with the Hyundai Creta.

You can go ahead with the Nexon EV. We suggest you go for the Nexon EV. Your average daily driving is around 40km, so an MR variant should satisfy your everyday needs. You must know two key points: Tata Motors after sales service is a bit patchy, though they are working on improving it. The Nexon EV charging is slow, even with a fast charger, so you will have to plan your charging on long routes.

Asked by: Harihara Prasaad I have always wanted to buy a two-stroke as my first motorcycle. I have been thinking between - Suzuki Max 100 R, Hero Honda CD 100 SS, and Bajaj KB 100. The primary concern I have is about service centers. Will Hero or Honda service centers accept to service the Hero Honda CD 100 SS? Similarly, will the Bajaj service center be able to service the KB 100? Where can I service the Suzuki Max 100 R? Getting a 2-stroke machine isn't all that difficult, but you are right to worry about maintenance. While authorized dealers are unlikely to agree to service them, considering these bikes have been around for so long, you should be able to find a trustworthy local mechanic.Between the Suzuki Max 100 R and the Kawasaki KB100, the former will be easier to find service technicians for, as it was quite a popular machine owing to its hardy workhorse nature back in its time.And just so you're on the right track, the Hero Honda CD100SS was powered by a 4-stroke engine.

I am looking for a comfortable bike that puts minimal stress on my cervical spine, lumbar spine, and shoulders. I am confused between the Hero Xpulse, TVS Apache RTX, and Suzuki V-Strom. Please guide me. The Hero Xpulse 210 and the TVS Apache RTX 300 will be the two most comfortable bikes amongst the three you have shortlisted. Both have great suspension comfort and a neutral yet commanding rider's triangle, which will help you over bad roads and over longer distances.Take a test ride of both before you make your purchase.

Asked by: Srikanth I currently own a 9-year-old Pulsar 150. My usage includes a weekly office commute of 40km, daily short rides, and occasional long trips of around 300km. I am confused between the Honda CB350, CB350 H’ness, and Royal Enfield Classic 350. I want easy city usability and good shoulder comfort. I am 6 feet 1 inch tall. Which option would suit me best? Between the Honda CB350s and the Royal Enfield Classic 350, the Honda is our pick for being easier to use in the city, primarily because of one reason. It has a slip/assist clutch, which greatly reduces clutch effort in stop-and-go traffic. Otherwise, both the Classic and the H'ness are very evenly matched.It would be advisable to take a test ride of both before you make a decision.

Asked by: Obli Raghavendran I am writing from Coimbatore. I currently own a Yamaha SZ-R and am looking to upgrade my bike with touring in mind. I have shortlisted the Kawasaki Versys X-300 and the Suzuki V-Strom 250. I am 5 feet 5 inches tall. I test rode the Versys and found it comfortable in terms of ride quality. I am yet to test ride the V-Strom. Budget is not a concern. I am looking for a no-nonsense machine that is comfortable and good to ride. Are there any upcoming bikes I should wait for? The Kawasaki Versys X-300 and Suzuki V-Strom 250 are both good options for your requirements. The Versys, with its more powerful twin-cylinder engine, will have the performance and long-distance touring advantage. However, the Suzuki V-Strom is a lot more affordable, and if you are on a tight budget, it makes for a genuinely capable tourer. Both bikes are quite tall, and you will need to get used to the height of these ADVs.Something to also consider is the Hero Xpulse 210, which has a peppy engine, great suspension, neutral ergonomics, and is the most affordable option of all three. Take a test ride of all three before you decide.

Asked by: Navee N I am planning to buy an automatic car with a budget of up to ₹16 lakh. My driving will be mostly in the city, and I am confused between the Skoda Kylaq, Tata Nexon, and the new Hyundai Venue. Safety and driving experience are my top priorities. Please advise. The Skoda Kylaq is the best option here. It has a comfortable ride, the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine is very punchy, and the 6-speed torque converter gearbox is smooth and quick too. This Skoda car has also received a 5-star crash test rating from Bharat NCAP, so it should be safe too.The new Hyundai Venue is a great option too. It's got more features and tech, but it's not as comfortable as the Skoda, and its auto gearbox isn't as smooth. And while it has a lot of safety features, it hasn't yet been tested by any crash test authority. Most of all, though, spec for spec, it's more expensive than the Kylaq, and doesn't feel like as good a value for money.
