Hello Team, I used to drive an Alto manual for a few months. I am now looking to buy a new car within a ₹15 lakh budget. I prefer an automatic, considering city traffic. My city driving will be limited, and most of my trips will be outstation. I am looking for a 5-seater with good features, mileage, and safety. C-SUVs and hatchbacks are my preferred choices. Kindly suggest some cars that fit these criteria.
You can consider the Kia Sonet Diesel Automatic in the HTX variant. It is easy to drive in the city and has ample power for highway runs. The Sonet is also quite efficient, and since most of your driving will be on highways, the chances of DPF issues are minimal.

I am looking for a diesel automatic car, primarily for city use and weekend trips, within a ₹15 lakh budget. Please suggest which one offers decent mileage and good comfort for rear passengers.
We'd recommend you shortlist the Kia Sonet HTX D AT and Mahindra XUV 3XO AX5 D AMT. The former is smoother to drive and is better equipped. On the other hand, the Mahindra XUV 3XO is more spacious for three occupants at the back, but its boot isn't generous. All things considered, we'd pick the Kia Sonet for its smoother diesel-AT combo.

I want to upgrade my car and am confused between the Land Rover Discovery Sport (diesel), BMW X3, Jeep Meridian, and Mercedes-Benz GLC. What would be your advice? Can I still buy a diesel car, considering I plan to keep it for the next 7 years?
Diesel as a fuel should be around for a long while; however, resale values could dip due to uncertainty from authorities regarding its future.Of the SUVs you’ve mentioned, we recommend the Mercedes-Benz GLC, though you could also consider the BMW X3 if it better suits your specific needs.

I’m confused between the Creta SX(O) Petrol 1.5L, Honda Elevate ZX CVT, and Skoda Kushaq 1.5L. My main priorities are comfortable 3-person seating in the second row, good boot space, and a well-tuned suspension. My usage is usually 80% city and 20% highway.
The Hyundai Creta best matches your three main priorities. It has a large boot, a well-tuned suspension setup, and a comfortable second row for three passengers.

My wife drives a Honda Amaze (MT) and her daily commute is around 15 km. We already own a Virtus and an i20, but want to upgrade the Amaze. Considering options like the Sonet, Elevate, Venue, or 3rd-gen Amaze. Looking for a value-for-money car with good resale potential and discounts on the current car. Please advise.
If your current Honda Amaze is the 2nd generation, then the 3rd generation will feel more like an update. If you want something different, the new Hyundai Venue (due to launch in the first week of November) would be a good option. It meets your criteria for resale value and should hold its value well.

We are a family of five (4 adults and 1 child). We currently drive a 3rd-gen Honda Amaze, but the low seating and ground clearance have become an issue for my parents. I’m looking for an SUV that offers comfortable seating and decent safety features within an ₹18 lakh budget. Please advise.
The Kia Carens Clavis would be an ideal upgrade, offering high seating and easy ingress/egress, which is comfortable for the elderly.Within your budget, you can get the HTK+ variant (manual or automatic) that comes with good safety features and plenty of equipment.

My budget is ₹8–9 lakh (on-road). I want a petrol manual car with maximum features, including a 360° camera and a good sound system.
In this budget, the Renault Kiger is a well-equipped compact SUV. It also comes equipped with a 360-degree camera and a good sound system.

I am confused about which 7-seater to buy: Carens Clavis, XUV700, or Safari.
The Mahindra XUV700 offers the best space among these options and comes with multiple powertrain choices and a generous features list. Between the three, it is the recommended model.

My monthly running is 1,500–1,800 km, with 70% in the city and 30% on highways. Should I buy the Nexon Diesel, Venue Diesel, Grand Vitara CNG, or Maruti Victoris CNG?
With 70% of your driving being in the city, it’s best to opt for a petrol car. The Maruti Suzuki Victoris and Grand Vitara are both spacious and have lower running costs. Our suggestion would be the Victoris CNG, as it offers better boot space compared to the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.

I’m confused about which car to buy within an ₹8 lakh budget. I already own a new Honda City and a new Wagon R, so I want something different. I’ve shortlisted the Glanza, i10 Nios, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, and Tata Altroz. Kindly suggest.
The Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite offer a bit of uniqueness in terms of interiors and features. Since you already own a hatchback and a sedan, a compact SUV between these two would make a good addition.
