Which hybrid car would you suggest up to ₹20 lakh?
Assuming you’re referring to strong hybrids, where the electric motor also powers the wheels, there are currently three SUV options available under ₹20 lakh. These include the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and the Maruti Suzuki Victoris.

I want to upgrade my car. My annual usage is around 3,000 km. Please suggest an option within a limited budget of ₹8 lakh.
Considering you own an Alto 800, we suggest going for the Maruti Suzuki Swift. The VXi manual variant will feel like a big upgrade in terms of size, comfort, space, and features. If you prefer an SUV or crossover, you can consider the Hyundai Exter. The Exter S variant offers a refined four-cylinder engine, a spacious cabin, and a large boot.

I’ve owned a Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 AGS (O) since 2017 and have had a very smooth driving experience. I usually drive three times a week, both in the city and on the highway. I plan to buy an automatic SUV next year within a budget of ₹10–12 lakh. Could you please suggest which model would suit me best?
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza is a good option. It offers a smooth driving experience and has good highway manners as well. The VXi AT variant with the 6-speed torque converter would be a great choice for you.

My monthly running is about 1,500 km. I’m looking to upgrade to an SUV within ₹15 lakh that offers good features. I’m considering the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, and Toyota Hyryder. I’ve also heard that diesel cars might be banned soon. Would buying one be a wise decision?
Given your monthly running, we recommend a petrol SUV, as it would take a lot more running to justify the diesel premium. The models you mentioned are all good choices, but well-equipped variants will exceed your ₹15 lakh budget. You can also consider the new Hyundai Venue, which is set to launch soon. It gets a well-equipped cabin, multiple powertrain choices, and strong safety credentials.

Hi, I’m planning to buy a new car, but I’m confused. I want to purchase an electric car within ₹20 lakh that offers a large boot. I travel around 2,500-3,000 km per month. Would an EV be a viable option for me?
The MG Windsor Pro fits your budget and offers a spacious cabin, a large boot, and a good feature set. An EV car is viable for the distances you mentioned, but if your driving is mostly on highways, it’s important to check the availability of charging infrastructure. For the highways, a diesel SUV will suit your needs better. The Hyundai Creta S(O) Knight with an automatic gearbox will be a good option.

Looking for 6 or 7 seater car with for 80% highway running with best safety coverage. Priority is look, design, safety, best infotainment, low service cost & reliable car for long trips.
The Kia Carens Clavis (diesel) will suit your needs best. It has modern styling, good infotainment and safety features, and is a reliable car as well. The space is enough for 7, and the service costs are reasonable too.

I want to buy my first car, which will also be the first in my family of four. I’ve booked the Honda Elevate ZX, mainly for its comfort, long-term usability, and safety. Is this the right choice, or would you suggest any alternatives?
The Honda Elevate is a smooth and easy-going SUV, but it falls short in several areas compared to the Hyundai Creta. The Creta offers a more spacious interior, a better feature list, and good safety as well. We recommend the Hyundai Creta and also suggest considering the Maruti Suzuki Victoris.

I’m planning to buy a new bike for my daily office commute of around 20 km. My budget is about ₹2 lakh. I need a bike that balances good power and mileage, can handle Pune traffic and poor road conditions, and has a taller seat because I’m 6'2". Please suggest suitable models.
Considering your requirements for comfort, decent power, and mileage, as well as your height, we would recommend the Hero Xpulse 210.The latest Xpulse delivers peppy performance from its liquid-cooled, Karizma-sourced engine. Its long-travel suspension will soak up the worst road imperfections with ease.Since it’s a dualsport machine, the Xpulse also offers spacious ergonomics, making it a suitable for a person of your build.

I need to buy a new car. My daily commute is around 5–10 km (to office and back), with occasional trips. We are a family of four, and my budget is up to ₹15 lakh. I want cruise control, but I don’t have any other specific requirements.
The Skoda Kushaq will suit your needs well. It’s a comfortable four-seater with a spacious boot, ideal for family trips, and easy to drive in the city. We recommend the automatic variant, as the manual has a heavier clutch. If you prefer a manual, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza is a good alternative with its light clutch and smooth 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine that performs well at low speeds.

I’m planning to exchange my bike. I work in the forest department and often ride through tough terrain in the Western Ghats. Is the Yezdi Adventure a good choice for my use case?
The recently updated Yezdi Adventure is a decent option in its segment, but we’d steer you toward the KTM 250 Adventure or TVS Apache RTX 300 instead.Reason being, both of these machines are vastly lighter (nearly 20 kilos) than the Yezdi while bringing similar - if not more performance to the table. Then there is also the fact that Classic Legends has sadly garnered a reputation for less-than-stellar after-sales support, which is an important factor to consider. All three bikes have comparable price tags, but the RTX's pricing is the easiest on the wallet if that is important to you.
