Asked by: Monish I have a 2017 Hyundai Xcent SX petrol and want to sell it. Please suggest the best platform to get a good resale value. Also, which car should I buy next: Honda Elevate, Hyundai Creta or Kia Seltos? Spinny is a reputed, hassle-free selling platform, through which you're likely to get the best price for your 2017 Hyundai Xcent SX. Between the three cars listed, the Honda Elevate is the nicest to drive, has the comfy seats, and it also feels a touch tougher than the others, especially over bad roads. But the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos are more rounded offerings; both are competent, and you won't go wrong with either. Between the Kia and Hyundai, pick the one you think looks and feels better inside and out. Asked by: Mahesh Babu Hello Autocar India, I live in an agency area of Visakhapatnam district with hilly, poor roads, and the nearest showroom is 150 km away. My budget is ₹10–12 lakh (on-road). I will use the car for monthly long tours and weekly travel. I want a vehicle that handles bad roads and hills, requires minimal maintenance, and can last 8+ years. This will be my first car, please suggest suitable options. Hi Mahesh, the Hyundai Venue and the Maruti Suzuki Brezza would be good options for you. Both these cars have good enough ground clearance and will be reliable enough in the long run. Both these cars also offer a good compact enough size for easy maneuverability and enough space inside. Furthermore, they are from brands which have a wide service network. As you mentioned, this would be an issue for you, given that you live further out of the city. Thus, with the Hyundai or the Maruti in particular, you should find a service outlet closer to you, if not a full dealership. Asked by: Santhosh Kawad Hello Autocar, I have been driving my i20 for 9 years, doing about 3000-4000 km a month (daily 100+ km), and now I am looking to upgrade to an SUV. My budget is 10-15 lakh, and I want something with top quality, good mileage, safety, great after-sales service, lots of features, and low maintenance. Which car would you suggest? The Maruti Suzuki Victoris mild hybrid fits your requirements well. You can go for the VXi manual or automatic variant, which falls within your budget and comes with all the necessary equipment, like connected car tech, push-button start, rear AC vents, electrically adjustable and foldable mirrors, and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.Being a Maruti Suzuki car, you get a peace of mind ownership experience, and it has also scored a 5 star rating in the BNCAP crash test. Asked by: Sohel I own a 2012 Maruti Suzuki Ritz VDI. I enjoy the diesel performance and interior space, but I am facing issues with limited luggage capacity and a bumpy ride. I want to buy a used car under ₹6 lakh that offers similar space and punch, but with better boot space and ride quality. My usage is around 500 km per month, mostly city with occasional 500–600 km highway trips. I live in a small town, so I need a reliable car that local mechanics can repair. Suggestions? The Maruti Suzuki Celerio would be a good option, the boot is nice and large and well-shaped, such that it can easily carry a couple of large suitcases. The ride quality of this car is also good, especially so soaking up low speed bumps typical in city roads. On highways, the ride is stable and being a Maruti Suzuki car, it can be repaired almost anywhere. The only bit you would really miss when compared to your Ritz is the diesel engine torque, but at your budget, you would not find a diesel today. Asked by: Indrajeet Kumar I’ve been driving a Grand i10 Nios for the past 5 years. I want to upgrade to a Jeep Compass for its space and premium feel, especially since our family is growing from 4 to 5 (three children, all under 5 years). Is this a good decision, or should I consider alternatives like the Creta, Hyryder hybrid, or other models? My daily office commute is ~30 km, with little to no traffic, and I occasionally take long trips of over 600 km every alternate month. The Jeep Compass is a very well-built and tough SUV, and also very good off-road; however, it is now quite old and rear space is not very good. This could be a problem with your family growing, as you have said. You would be better off with a Hyundai Creta, which is a good all-round SUV, spacious, well-equipped and with good engine options. If you are concerned about fuel efficiency, then opt for the Toyota Hyryder strong hybrid as the fuel efficiency will be much better. Just bear in mind that luggage space is compromised with the battery being placed in the boot; this could be an issue if you carry a lot of luggage on your weekend trips. Asked by: Murali S I'm choosing between the Renault Triber, Toyota Fronx, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza. My budget is ₹10–11 lakh. I drive about 5,000 km per year, with ~70% on highways and the rest in the city. Which is most suitable? From your shortlist, we would rule out the Renault Triber. The MPV is genuinely spacious inside, even in the third row; however, the engine is down on performance. Given that most of your driving is on the highway, you would be better off with the Maruti Suzuki Fronx or the Maruti Suzuki Brezza. Both cars are good options, but between the two, if rear seat space is important, we would recommend the Brezza, while the Fronx is the better one to drive. Can’t decide which car to buy?
