Asked by: Arunkumar I’ve been riding a Hero Honda CBZ Extreme for 15 years and want to change. I’m looking for a bike that’s good for adventure touring as well as city rides. I’m torn between the Triumph 4T and the Suzuki V-Strom. I’m about 5′7″ tall and around 40 years old. Please advise. The Triumph Speed T4 is an excellent city machine, and you can also cruise on the highway at 100-110kph comfortably. It offers decent suspension comfort and will be a good fit for a one-bike garage. The Suzuki V-Strom SX will have more spacious ergonomics and better wind protection on the highway, but its smaller engine will also limit your comfortable cruising speed to 90-100kph. On the other hand, it will also deliver improved fuel economy in the city.

Asked by: Arun Iyengar My Honda Dazzler 150’s RC lapses in June 2026. The odometer reads 1.1 lakh km and I’ve had a trouble-free ownership - it still runs like new every day. If I sell it, I don’t think any other bike will match its reliability. If I renew the RC, I’ll likely keep riding it until my son is in 8th grade (around 2031). My wife owns a 2022 Jupiter 125, and I’m increasingly leaning toward scooters. I like the Aerox but feel it may not offer value for money; the Honda Access looks boring. I need advice on whether to sell, renew, or switch to a scooter and which scooter (if any) would match the Dazzler’s reliability. Since you have had such a lovely experience with your Dazzler, you could play it safe and replace it with the Honda Unicorn / SP160 - both of which can trace their roots back to your machine. Other options for you in a similar displacement bracket are the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Bajaj Pulsar N160. Coming to scooters, we would recommend the TVS Ntorq 125 or Ntorq150 - depending on your budget - both of which are sporty, capable and comfortable scooters that will stand out from the crowd. The only reason we would steer you away from the Yamaha Aerox is its stiff rear suspension, which will get tiring and downright intolerable if you stay in an area with less-than-perfect roads.

Asked by: Aiden Pinto Hi Team Autocar, I bought a 2025 KTM 390 Adventure X two months ago and use it daily in Mumbai for about 50 km, sometimes even 100 km a day. I plan to start weekend rides soon, but the constant buzzing on the handlebars causes palm numbness after 30–45 minutes. Could you please suggest modifications or solutions to reduce these vibrations? Small fixes like thicker grips or heavier bar end weights will provide some relief for the vibration issue on your KTM 390 Adventure X. You can also look at handlebar dampeners, although that will be a little on the expensive side. Another option you can look at is changing your sprockets to change your gearing so that the zone you find yourself in the most is as buzz-free as possible. Do bear in mind that putting an aftermarket sprocket could void your warranty, and we'd best advise you not to do so on a brand-new machine.

Asked by: Kunal I need a new bike (on-road under ₹1 lakh) after exchanging my old bike - Hero’s online exchange values it at around ₹60-70k. My main requirement is daily commuting (~20 km/day), but it must handle bad roads and occasional long rides. I want to buy from Hero MotoCorp only. Which model should I choose? From the Hero portfolio, we would recommend any of their 100cc commuters like the Splendor, Passion and HF models. If you can fit the Super Splendor or Glamour 125 models in your budget, then those are worthwhile too. All are simple, frugal and hardy machines which should likely last you a long time with minimal maintenance.

Asked by: Monish I’m considering the top-end Honda Elevate ZX manual. I don’t want too many features like the Creta or Seltos, just a simple midsize SUV. Should I go ahead with the Elevate, considering Honda’s current and future market position? The Honda Elevate is definitely a good choice. It may not offer as many features as the Hyundai Creta or Kia Seltos, but it gets the basics right and is a fuss-free SUV to live with.Moreover, it’s more affordable than these Hyundai and Kia cars, and being a Honda car, it is reliable too.

From a comfort point of view, the Bajaj Chetak models or TVS iQube range will serve your purpose well from the sea of electric scooters available.In the 125cc space, the most comfortable options are the TVS Jupiter 125, Honda Activa 125 and the latest Suzuki Access. Even the TVS Ntorq 125 is a good option if you want a sporty offering with peppy performance.

For the time being, I want to buy a bike or scooter that is smooth and vibration-free, as smoothness is my only major criterion. I feel the Suzuki Access 125 is the right choice. Do you have any better alternatives for me? I plan to use this scooter or bike for 5-8 years and then upgrade to the bike I love after saving up. In the scooter space, the Suzuki Access is a great option because it has a turbine smooth engine, has cemented its reputation for reliability and is quite practical and comfortable too. You can also take a look at the TVS Jupiter models, which have the biggest boot on an Indian-made petrol scooter, as well as great ride and stability with their 12-inch wheels at both ends.Lastly, you can also take a look at the Honda Activa models, which are a safe bet, and you can't go wrong with either of them.
